Died on February 27, 2015 at 10:41 AM at the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born on July 2, 1943 near New Bremen to the late Albert and Gertrude (Egbert) Kyburz. On May 2, 1970 she married Edward Dicke who survives near New Bremen. Also surviving are their sons Edward, Jr., Jan, and Jay Dicke, all of New Bremen, and a brother Russell (Pauline) Kyburz of New Bremen. She was preceded in death by her sister Joan Kyburz, and half-siblings William Waterman and Evelyn Fisher.

Mrs. Dicke attended the former Zion U.C.C. of New Bremen. She was a homemaker and also helped on the family farm. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, crocheting afghans, and taking care of her family.

A celebration of Shirley's life will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery of New Knoxville at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
