of New Bremen, Ohio, died on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 8:05 A.M. at the Otterbein of Cridersville. She was born on April 6, 1921 in New Bremen, OH. She was daughter of Edwin and Frances (Dickman) Burmeister. On June 21, 1941 she married Richard G. Luelleman who died on February 6, 2015. Surviving are their children Jan and Kathy Luelleman of Wapakoneta, and Sandra and Tom Bergman of St. Marys, grandchildren Jeff and Kelli Luelleman of Marysville, Lori Luelleman and Amy Luelleman both of Wapakoneta, Christopher and Victoria Bergman of Sioux Falls, SD, Tonya Robinson of Xenia, Ben Bergman of Chicago, IL, Patrick and Diana Bergman of Toledo, and Tiffany and Dustin Cernan of Wapakoneta. Also surviving are great grandchildren Abigail, Brycen, Samuel, Will, Owen Sophia, Emma, Noah, Zachary, Jacob and Everett, a sister Marie Kitzmiller, and a brother-in-law Bill Sawmiller, both of St. Marys. Along with her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters Rose Mary Martin and Doris Louise Sawmiller.

Mrs. Luelleman was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She was a member of the New Bremen Historic Association, the former Shirts and Skirts Western Square Dance Club, the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the New Bremen Women's Club, the NW Chapter Hair Guild of Ohio, and as an avid card player, she belonged to several card clubs over the years. Ruth was a state licensed hair dresser, owning and operating Ruth's Beauty Shop in New Bremen for 43 years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 4 until 7 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to church memorial fund or to the New Bremen Historic Association. Condolences to the Luelleman family may be left at
