LOUISE M. EGBERT age 91

of Sidney, formerly of Kettlersville and Wapakoneta, died Friday morning September 11, 2015 at Lane Park of Sidney. She was born on January 11, 1924 in Clay Township, near Jackson Center, to the late Otto and Luella (Ambos) McGowan. On November 24, 1947 she married Frederick J. "Fritz" Egbert at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Geyer, OH, and he survives in Sidney. Also surviving are their two children, Stanley (Sherry) Egbert of Anna, and Nita (Dan) Watercutter of Minster, grandchildren Rob (Susan) Egbert, Jon (Sharon) Egbert, both of Anna, Aaron (Yuko) Hudson of Japan, Justin Hudson of Minster, Angela Watercutter of San Francisco, CA, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a sister Mary Jane Glett of Bellefontaine, OH, a brother Ralph (Pat) McGowan, and sister-in-law Mary McGowan both of Jackson Center, OH. Along with her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her sisters Ruby Nell Woolley and Katherine Waltz, and her brothers Eldon McGowan and Frederick "Mick" McGowan.

Louise was a long-time member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and sang in the choir. She was a 1944 graduate of Jackson Center High School. She was a homemaker. She retired in July of 1987 after working for 20 years at Holloway Sportswear in Jackson Center. She enjoyed wintering for many years in Florida, and raising different types of flowers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at noon at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville, with Pastor Ed Rinehart officiating. A luncheon reception will follow the service until 3:00, in the church fellowship hall, for a time of remembrance and visitation. Per her request, her body was donated to the Wright State University Medical Department. Inurnment will take place in the Willow Grove Cemetery of New Bremen at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Louise's wishes were for donations be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kettlersville in her name.
