LEOTA F. BUSSE age 93

Of New Bremen, died on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:20 A.M. at Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen. She was born on January 10, 1923 in New Bremen, the daughter of the late George A. and Fredonia L. (Hirschfeld) Fark. On March 5, 1946, she married Roger W. Busse, who died on October 22, 2015. Surviving is a son Larry (Nancy) Busse of New Bremen, a grandson Todd (Shelly) Busse of New Bremen, a granddaughter Lori (Kip) Hubbard of Mason, Ohio, and great-grandchildren Reece and Ryland Busse, Bailey and Kendall Hubbard, Danielle Bornhorst, and Kirstie (Zack) Miller. Along with her husband, Leota was preceded in death by her siblings Robert Fark, Louis Fark, and Lucile Moeller.

Leota was a member of the St. Peter's Church in New Bremen. She was a 1940 graduate of New Bremen High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, needlework, playing cards with her friends, and bowling in her earlier years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen. Inurnment will be in the German Protestant Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the services on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bremen Emergency Squad or to St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund. Condolences to the Busse family may be left at gilberghartwigfh.com.
