LEOTA A. KELLERMEYER age 93

Of St. Marys, formerly of New Bremen, Ohio, died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 4:54 PM at the Otterbein of St. Marys. She was born on January 13, 1922 in New Bremen, to the late Lawrence L. and Alvena (Hegemier) Roettger. On December 4, 1948 she married Herbert E. Kellermeyer, Jr. who died on November 15, 1994. Surviving are their two children Nancy (Michael) Parsons of Canandaigua, NY, and Dennis (Andrea) Kellermeyer of Perrysburg, OH, grandchildren Gretchen (Sean) O'Dey, Kate (Riyadh) Saw, Erin (David) Page, Mark (Liz) Kellermeyer, Laura Kellermeyer, Jeff, Kellermeyer, David Kellermeyer, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Ryan Saw, Jacob and Angie Page, a brother Lowell Roettger of New Knoxville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Leota was preceded in death by a grandson Brian Kellermeyer, and a sister Bernice Shook.

Leota was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She was a graduate of New Bremen High School, and a graduate of the Lima Memorial School of Nursing. She as a Registered Nurse for many years, first at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, and later retired from the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church. Inurnment was held in the German Protestant Cemetery, of New Bremen. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, or to Grand Lake Hospice of St. Marys.
