LEONARD S. WILLIAMS age 74

of New Bremen, OH, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 5:42 A.M. at the Heritage Manor of Minster. He was born on December 26, 1940 in Bombay, India, the son of the late His Eminence Mar Athanasius Archbishop Joel S. and Dorothy A. (Walters) Williams. On May 24, 1964 he married Carmel Haslem who survives in New Bremen. Also surviving are their children Joan (Mark) Schwartz, Mark (Deb) Williams, Della (Michael) Conradi all of New Bremen, and Steve (Jenny) Williams of Concord, NC, and six grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Joan Williams.

Leonard was a long time member of the St. Peter's Church of New Bremen, and was a member of the Men's Group. He was a member of the Minster Eagles 1391. Born and raised in Bombay, India, he was a 1957 graduate of the Christ Church School, and was a member of the Indian Boxing Team. In 1972, he moved his family from India to New Bremen after taking a job with New Bremen Machine and Tool. He then worked for Crown Equipment Corporation of New Bremen for 31 years before retiring in 2006.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Peter's Church, with the Rev. Ed Rinehart officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the services on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at St. Peter's Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund.
