GERALDINE A. GAVIN, age 86, of New Bremen, died at her residence near New Bremen. She was born on October 7, 1930, in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. On September 7, 1950, she married John H. Gavin, Jr., and he survives. Also surviving is a son John (Sue) Gavin, III, of Marion, Indiana, four grandchildren, and a sister Jackie. Along with her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by three sisters.

Geraldine had formerly worked for Douglas Aircraft as an interior designer, helping to design the interiors of the DC9 and the DC10 aircraft. While living in Lancaster, PA, she had taken up painting, and had worked with two different studios, selling her art. In her later years, she was a homemaker and took up gardening. Flowers were a passion for her, and she was always very proud of her many flower beds.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, with Deacon Greg Bornhorst officiating.
