Of Louisville, KY and formerly of Winchester, KY and New Bremen, OH., died on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. at the home of her niece and nephew, JoAnn and Richard DeGrella of Louisville, KY. and was blessed by being in their home. She was born April 18, 1924 in Clark Co., Ky., the daughter of the late James Samuel Baber and Ida Williams Baber. She was married October 4, 1974 to William G. Bushman Sr. who preceded her in death on October 31, 1996. Survivors include her nephews and nieces; Rowley (Julie) Mayo of Elk River, MN., Brenda Baber (Richard) Ingles of Franklin, OH., JoAnn Mayo (Richard) DeGrella of Louisville, KY., Vera Baber (Steve) Hall of French Lick, IN., and Suzanna Baber (Ron) Walter of St. Marys and several wonderful great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her step children in laws, Wilber Greber of St. Marys, Betty Bushman of New Bremen and Aurora Bushman of Columbus and her step grandchildren; Jerry Price, Joyce (Larry) Kellermeyer, Roger (Linda) Greber, Ron (Debra) Greber, Diane (David) James, Larry (Tammy) Greber, Robin (Dennis) Mallory, Tammy (Don) Oliver, Jackie (Gregory) Hurney, Teresa (Jim) Booth, Michael (Monica) Bushman, Cindy Phlipot, Kim (Glenn) Taflan and Scott (Donna) Bushman, 32 step great grandchildren and 17 step great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband, step daughters Enola Greber and Laverta Price, step son in law Willis Price, step sons William Bushman Jr. and Edward Bushman, two infant step great granddaughters, an infant brother and brother and sister in law Bluford and Mallie Baber and sisters and brother in laws Nannie Mae and Herbert Macy and Josie and Bob Mayo.

Mrs. Bushman was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen for 36 years and was a member of the Satellite C group, the Christian Service Guild, Mission Group, Bible Study Group and a member of the Church's Funeral Lunch Committee. As of October 2011, she became a member of the Hurstbourne Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class of Louisville, KY. She retired from the Bell South Telephone Co, Winchester, KY., after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneer of America of Winchester, KY. She was a graduate of the Midway Junior College, Midway, KY.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the services at the church.
