Eilleen Webster Dicke, 93

Mrs. James Dicke (Eilleen) died at home, January 14, 2015 following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. A long time New Bremen, Ohio resident, she was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Eilleen was her husband Jim's partner and advisor as they enjoyed an almost 73 year marriage. Her husband, Jim survives.

Born July 1, 1921 to Warren and Mary Webster, Eilleen was the oldest of four children and is survived in her family of origin by her sisters Dorothy W. Gilvary, Doris W. Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother Warren E. Webster II preceded Eilleen in death.

On February 14, 1942 Eilleen married James F. Dicke. They have two sons, Jim II (Janet) and Dane (Cindy). Jim II and Janet have a son, Jim III (Katy), and a daughter Jennifer (Andrew Prewitt). Great grandchildren through Jim II are Alexander Dicke, Charles Dicke, Connor Prewitt and Owen Prewitt. Dane and his former wife, Kerry, have three daughters and a son, Anastasia (Jay Huelsman), Robin, Ashton, and Christopher. Only Dane's former wife, Kerry, preceded Eilleen in death. Great grandchildren through Dane are Allegra Huelsman and Liam Huelsman.

It should be stressed that Eilleen is also survived by a number of loving and supportive care givers and friends, who, day after day, and year after year, have been instrumental in giving Eilleen and her beloved husband the caring support that has been so important for all their good days. Eilleen's family is overwhelmed with gratitude.

In view of the current weather, a celebration of Eilleen's life will be scheduled at a later time. There will be a private interment at New Bremen's German Protestant Cemetery (For All Faiths). In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the New Bremen Foundation. Donations may also be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen is in care of the arrangements and condolences to the Dicke family may be left at
