DOROTHY M. FISCHBACH age 96

Of Piqua Ohio, formerly of Anna, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the early morning hours at the Piqua Manor, Piqua, Ohio. She was born on May 9, 1919 in New Bremen, the daughter of the late Harvey & Emma (Ruedebusch) Eversman. On January 3, 1942 she married Orville Fischbach who died on November 10, 1986. Survivors include her sons, Wayne (Linda) Fischbach of Dayton, and Larry Fischbach of Wapakoneta, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Toni Fischbach.

Dorothy was a long time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Sidney. She was nature person who enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed watching birds. Her family was the center of her life and she was very fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished her time spent with them. In 1978 she retired from the Amos Press of Sidney, where she had worked for Coinworld in the mailing department. Dorothy will be remembered as a kind hearted, soft-spoken woman who always looked for the good in everyone she met.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Pastor James Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Pearl Cemetery, of Sidney. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Contributions in memory of Dorothy may be made to the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Sidney, or to the organization of donor's choice.
