BERNARD W. NEDDERMAN age 82
Of St. Marys, formerly of New Bremen, died on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 4:50 P.M. at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio. He was born on June 19, 1933 near New Bremen, the son of the late Forrest F. and Marie (Wiehe) Nedderman. On October 27, 1962, he married Barbara L. Meyer, in Hopewell Township, and she died on November 18, 2013. Surviving are their children Brenda (Jon) Stocker of Elida, Beverly (Todd) Frideger of New Bremen, and Brian Nedderman of Celina, grandchildren Adam Stocker of New Bremen, Andrea Stocker of Elida, Shelby Frideger of Dayton, and Alec Frideger of New Bremen, a sister Phyllis (Melvin) Fledderjohann of St. Marys, and a step-sister Jean Carr of Perrysburg, Ohio.
Bernard was a 1951 graduate of New Bremen High School. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. He worked for over 25 years at Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina as a pressman. He was in the Army, and served our country in during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the New Bremen American Legion Post 241, he enjoyed woodworking, Nascar, spending time with family, and traveling, especially the many trips they took to Siesta Key, Florida.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffery Gramza officiating. Burial will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, in New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or the New Bremen Historic Association. Condolences to the Nedderman family can be left online at gilberghartwigfh.com.
