Condolence & Memory Journal

Fond memories of high school days with Ron.
Cherish the times we spent catching up on things at class reunions.
Ron was a great guy and will be greatly missed by friends and family. Prayers for you, Marlene, and all your family. Evelyn and Bob Baur

Ron's passing has left a huge hole in the Berning/Howe family. As an only child, Ron would often say how blessed he was to marry Marlene and be a part of the our large family. He was "one of us" and will be greatly missed.

Today mattered to Ron. Whether you saw him at the coffee shop, grocery store or stopped by his house, he always was with you in the moment - giving words of encouragement. You always left his presence feeling better.

He did not boast about his faith, he simply lived it through his gentle and kind character. Most would say he was a good man. I believe he was a godly man, which was evidenced by his divine, heavenly encounter shortly before transitioning
from earth to heaven.

I wish you were still here with Marlene and the family. Your encouraging words did not die. They echo in their hearts. Ron's words will lift them up when they are down and cheer them on when they walk forward with courage ...because TODAY matters.

To Marlene and family: I have never met a nicer, kinder man and friend than Ron. He always had a smile for anyone and everyone and I don't think he ever spoke negatively about those he knew or met. I will cherish the times I had with him at Stamco and in the community sporting events. He will be missed dearly. May God bless you all and you have my deepest sympathy.

Ron left the world a better place with his ready smile, a sincere compliment, or an encouraging word to everyone he met. That legacy lives on through Marlene and his children. The Bear Drive neighborhood and the New Bremen community will miss him.

Dear Aunt Marlene, Vicki, Brenda and Neil, and your family's,
Liz and I are very sorry to hear about Uncle Ron. I can not say this about many people, but Uncle Ron was truly a beautiful man. He was always encouraging, I never heard him say anything negative about anyone, he reminded me of a bible verse.

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

Uncle Ron was a walking encouraging word.

With tears running down my face as I type this, just know we love you and we will be praying for you.

Love, Tom

I am very sorry to learn of Ron's passing. My best to you Marlene. It was so good to see both of you last winter when I was back in New Bremen. I still remember the kind words Ron had to say to me about my mother. Delight and Ron were best of friends who worked together for so many years; she had only the best things to say about Ron.
Be well, Marlene.

Oh my gosh, I am in shock! I just ran into your Mom & Dad last Tuesday at Kroger's, and they both looked so good, and gave me such warm hugs. Your Dad laughed because I was getting so many hugs at the doorway of Kroger's, from old friends and relatives. He told me I might want to stand there longer, to see how many more I could get. That's just like him to want to joke around. I have always loved that man, and his beautiful wife, Marlene. I know your family is going to be lost without him. He brought so much joy, into this world. May your Dad.... Rest In Peace.

Our Sympathy, is with you all!
