Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

It was always a joy to see Stan when I went to the hardware store. I moved here two years and was renovating my house so I was there a lot! He always had a smile on his face a greeting and kind words. I will miss seeing him zooming around the store. So thankful that I had the opportunity to spend a few moments in time with this treasure of a man.

I knew Stan only briefly, through my occasional visits to the hardware store in recent visits to my in-laws, Jim and Pat Moeller. I enjoyed talking with Stan and listening to his never-ending stories and jokes. I would always make some excuse to go to the hardware store in hopes of seeing Stan, and spending a little time with him. He was a good, decent and humorous man, and will surely be missed by all that knew him.

Stan was a remarkable, loving, kind, interesting man. I got to know him thru Elmwood while visiting my dad, Romie Buening. He told the best stories!! A few about the St Henry Redskins and Wally Post. I will miss seeing and talking to him. I am sure the community of New Bremen will miss him deeply. God bless you all. Rene

Scott, I was very sorry to hear about your dad passing. Your dad and mom were always the best and they are now back together again. Stan always had a smile on his face when I saw him at the store and willing to help me. He will be missed by all the patrons at WOH. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathies to the Kuenning family. I got to know Stan a bit over the past few months from his time at Elmwood and enjoyed speaking with him. Such a warm and kind man who had the greatest love for his wife and family. He spoke of his wife often and missed her tremendously. I will miss seeing and talking with Stan by the fireplace and at the hardware store and my Dad will miss his friend.
