Dona Mae did all she could to help me feel at home in New Bremen when I came to St.Paul United Church of Christ as an Interim Pastor. We clicked almost iy. Her accomplishments as a leader in the community, church, and business world , as great as they were, pale in comparison to her ability to reach out on a personal level to people like me. In 2009, Linda, Janet and uncle Warren and I were welcomed into their home when we visited New Bremen. She and Stan were always so welcoming and I have many fond memories of visiting them when I was young and would go to New Bremen with my Dad, Lawson Speckman. My condolences to all the family. She was a dear person. Sincerest sympathy.

Dear Kuenning Family,

Our hearts are weighing heavy this evening, as we accept this news. Dona Mae was such a delight whenever we would enter the stores, over the years. First on Monroe Street, and later on St. Rt. 66.

The picture we are looking at, is the smile we will always remember. Her cheery greetings, were always a welcoming sight. She will be missed by all that knew her. May she now..... R.I.P..

Your Friends,
Mark & Terri
